We have a very deeply rooted desire to control and to enjoy this material world. We came to this material world because we want to be Purusa. Therefore we have to hear again and again that we are not a controller, Krisna is the controller. If we understand this knowledge, then the knot which is connecting us with this material nature will be cut. Unless we are free from this idea that I want to control this material nature, we will not be able to go to the spiritual world.

There is a specific design of a material nature, it’s made as if it is independent. Material nature is feminine by nature. If a man sees a woman who is not protected by another man, he wants to exploit her. Therefore if we think that the material nature is independent, immediately the desire to enjoy this nature appears in us. But behind this “independent material nature” there is Krisna, to whom this material nature really belongs. When we know that beyond everything there is God, our pride goes down. Desire to enjoy and ahankara (false ego) are inseparable. When people achieve something, they immediately become very proud. But we need to remember that I am just a humble servant of the Lord.

We can not understand God with our senses or mental attempts. When God feels that someone can understand Him, He disappears, but He sends His representative to make us more humble. We can not understand God without the help of His representative, spiritual master. For that we should listen to the spiritual master.
