Questions:

1. We have heard a lot about the Russian yatra, we see Russian devotees everywhere, all over the world, even here in America there is a whole group of Russian devotees, in India also. We want to know a little bit more about that. Maharaj, how did You come in contact with Krisna consciousness?

2. You are very educated in a sense You have Uour PhD, and You were doing your science degree, is it right?

3. I remember Harikesha Swami and his group, they were doing book distribution all over Europe and in the Soviet Union. Tell us a little bit about the role you played in the 90s.

4. How long have You stayed in Sweden for?

5. What was it about Harikesha Maharaj that made him such a powerful unifying agent at that time? It is amazing what he has accomplished at that time!

6. When he left I know many devotees left because it's a faith crashing thing when the leader falls from his position. What was Your personal attitude towards the whole thing, how did You process it?

7. And You being one of the senior members there after he left his post. Did You have to come in to do kind of damage control? Was there a group of people?

8. Was there prosecution from the government at the same time as this change of management in ISKCON?

9. In 1998 there was that change of management, and there was the confusion, it fell on Your shoulders. What did You do to keep people inspired, to keep things together? How many temples were there, how many devotees were there? What was the situation like at that time?

10. I guess You are educating devotees to understand guru-tattva in a sense that it’s a lot more than personality, or one person, there is a tattva involved.

11. Let's talk a little bit more about recent times, the year 2000 and later on. I have heard that there are hundreds of temples in just one little city, or bhakti-vriksas and thousands of devotees are everywhere.

12. When You say that the language creates that world view, what do You mean by that, could You give an example?

13. When the Krisna consciousness books were translated, the Russian speaking people were able to relate with the philosophy because they were able to understand it via language in a kind of descriptive way?

14. When there were translations of Srila Prabhupada’s books, You say that there are different angles to look at certain words, so was it more difficult to translate the books because for one word in English there are different words in Russian, so how did that happen?

15. What do You feel are the challenges the yatra faces in growing so exponentially? Were there any challenges that You were facing?

16. What do You think the rest of ISKCON can learn from the Russian yatra? In a way it’s growing, in a way it’s turning out devotees, there is something to learn for the rest of the world.

17. You have seen so much through the years. Now we are looking to the future, to the next generation of devotees in Russia, younger devotees. What do You see, is it hope-giving? Do You see something that concerns You? What is Your attitude towards that?

18. What is Your focus now being at this point of life?
