Everything else was spoken by Sukadeva Gosvami so that we can understand the Tenth Canto. There are a lot of Krisna’s lilas, and it’s very difficult to understand them, so we should go to Sri Caitanya lila, it’s more easy to understand.
To truly understand Krisna’s pastimes we should join parampara system, and become a servant of the servant within this parampara system. We should have devotion to the Lord and exactly the same devotion to the spiritual master. If we worship Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Vraja Krisna will be ours. The very cause of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s appearance in this world is to show what "Srimad-Bhagavatam" is all about. Without Him we will never be able to understand "Srimad-Bhagavatam". You can only understand "Srimad-Bhagavatam" by bhakti.
"Srimad-Bhagavatam" is written in samadhi bhasa, therefore to understand it we should also be in samadhi. We all have an offensive mentality, we all rely on our ability to understand, it is an offense to try to understand "Srimad-Bhagavatam" by normal means. The real knowledge of "Srimad-Bhagavatam" is that the truth will be revealed to us, but if we try to apply our intellectual abilities instead of trying to absorb "Srimad-Bhagavatam" by the service mood, four types of wrong knowledge will appear in our heart. 1) fragmental knowledge; 2) contracted or narrow sort of knowledge; 3) distorted knowledge; 4) completely wrong understanding of "Srimad-Bhagavatam".
To understand "Srimad-Bhagavatam" we should go to the lotus feet of the real vaisnava and learn "Srimad-Bhagavatam" from him. We should take shelter of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, and we should always be in association with His followers.
Vrinda-devi is Krisna’s internal energy, and she gives passage to Vrindavan, that’s why we chant the Holy name on the Tulasi beads. She can reveal the real nature of Krisna's Holy name to us.
In a very humble way we should try to hear the revelations given by the followers of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, which they heard from Him. "Srimad-Bhagavatam" again and again shows that Krisna is svayam bhagavan. Every form of Krisna has the same potency, but only Krisna’s manifestation of His power is absolutely unlimited. All manifestations of Krisna are hierarchically organized, and all the dhamas in which Krisna manifests Himself in a different way are also hierarchically organized, they are not all the same. Each dhama of Krisna exists in three different states: prakat, bhauma and aprakat. Lila-tattva includes two methods of meditation on the lilas: mantra upasana mayi and svarasiki upasana mayi. Parakiya rasa is the highest rasa, and in order to understand it properly we have to be in a very humble mood. "Srimad-Bhagavatam" is the highest revelation of truth.
There are two ways of hearing "Srimad-Bhagavatam": krama hina sravana dasa or hearing chaotically; krama suda sravana dasa.
We should understand what this Tenth Canto is about, how to understand it and how to analyze it, then it will give us complete concentration, it will give us taste.
