Navadvip means the nine islands, each island is a symbolic representation of one of the processes of devotional service. They support the ocean of prema by their very existence. Bhakti is a very scientific process, and by appearing in Navadvip Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is showing us that to achieve the goal of prema or love of God we have to be constantly engaged in one of the processes of devotional service in a systematic manner.

Five out of ten aspects of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s appearance in Kali-yuga:

1) He is giving an amazing goal which is unattainable. Today people don’t see the real goal of their lives, and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu says that if you achieve this goal, all other goals are included into this goal;

2) Prema is the most cherished jewel of God Himself, so Krisna did not see the qualified person to whom He could give it, therefore He did not give it to anyone, but Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu gives it to everyone;

3) He wants to show people of this world a very important truth that you can only taste love if you give it to others;

4) He is explaining the nature of Srimati Radharani, which was not known to anyone before Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Even the knowledge that Krisna is Svayam Bhagavan was not known before Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, what to speak about Srimati Radharani and about the nature of Her love. It is very amazing that such a confidential truth is given so freely to mlecchas and yavanas, this is the proof that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the most merciful avatar ever;

5) He comes Himself to taste the greatness of Srimati Radharani’s love. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is called Hari in this verse because He is stealing Radha’s love to enjoy it and to show the greatness of this love.

Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, even though He is Krisna, takes the complexion and appearance of Srimati Radharani. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu enjoys Her feeling of love by giving it to others without any discrimination. Srila Prabhupada is the general of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's army, and because of His mercy we are able to speak about it.
